Registration Information

This form is to register as an official attendee at Booktopia 2012: Santa Cruz, CA. You must still arrange for your own lodging, meals, and travel expenses. Please see our website for more information.

This year, we are asking for a $35 registration fee to cover costs and incidental expenses, and to lower the number of last-minute cancellations that prevent other guests from attending. I hope that you agree that it's a reasonable thing to ask. All proceeds will go back into the retreat -- we are not making a profit from this.

In addition, this website charges a small fee ($1.20) to manage the registration process. That fee will appear at the end of the checkout process.

You may pay by credit card (through PayPal), or mail a check. The address to mail the check will appear on your confirmation page and confirmation email.

Registration fees are NONREFUNDABLE. Please do not register until you are sure that you can attend.

Registration is limited to 75 attendees in order to keep the event intimate. Registration is first-come, first-served.

If you are planning on attending any of the small group sessions or social events, please register. Friends and spouses who will be staying with you but not participating in official Books on the Nightstand events do not require a registration.

Once registered, you will be on our list to receive retreat-specific updates and to register for individual author sessions. Those will be announced closer to the retreat dates.

Event Details

We anticipate that the retreat will start with small group sessions on Friday afternoon, and we'll wrap up early on Sunday afternoon. 

Retreat guests are responsible for their own lodging and meals. This will allow for each guest to stay within his or her own budget. We will provide a list of lodging and restaurant options.

The list of attending authors and event schedules will be announced closer to the dates of the retreat. At that time you will be asked to register for your desired small group sessions, and any other activities we dream up.
