The Oregon Supported Employment Center for Excellence is inviting persons interested in learning about developing supported education programs to attend a 1½ day training July 20-21, 2017 taking place at the Center for Human Development in La Grande, Oregon.
The conference is free of charge, however, travel expenses and food costs are not covered.
The Training: This is an interactive training with activities that will cover the principles and practice of supported education including the five basic elements: intake, engagement, assessment, placement in educational settings and achievement of educational goals. Additional discussions will include the process of becoming provisionally certified as a supported education provider and an introductory overview of the collaborative partnership between Vocational Rehabilitation and supported education.
Outcomes: Participants will have an understanding of how to provide supported education services to their clients and to bill for the services using the modifications to the Medicaid code. A training manual and a copy of the integrated IPS SEd Fidelity scale will be reviewed. Follow-up consultations will be provided to those participants who develop new programs.
